When it comes to education today, we seem to be living in a huge paradox. The school used to be where the biggest educational changes occurred. Today, educational change is happening everywhere but in schools.
What do today's students want? Do today's students have an attention deficit? Obviously, we have a plethora of very expensively produced things that demand our attention - the Internet, video games, music, movies, social media, and others.
As a result, young people have learned to focus only on what interests them and on things that treat them as individuals rather than as part of a group or class. In conclusion, what today's students have is a short attention span for the old way of teaching.
